My lovely doggies
Sophie and Jake. Jake is very boisterous and loves people to play with
him all the time but is very loving when he's settled down and visitors
have gone home, where as Sophie likes to be left alone as she is 16 years
old now and has been quite ill with vestibular syndrome (inflammation of
the ear). This has caused her to feel very giddy and keep falling over to
the side a lot (no,she hasn't been drinking).
She is not as ill as she was last year when it first started but it has left her
with her head tilted over to one side which makes her look even more
sweet and cuddly than she already was.
Update September 2006
Sadly Dear Sophie has gone to the doggie heaven in the sky. She was a
grand old lady but age caught her up last year and all the family were very
sad and upset when she died. I buried her in the garden and still have very
fond memories of all the good times we had every time I look at her small
grave with its little cross.
Jake has been very lonely without Sophie, and when I had the chance to
have a Westie puppy I went to have a look and was smitten. I just had to
have him.
So now Jake has a playmate again, Max. He is 10 weeks old in the picture
below and is adorable.
